Nexplanon May Cause Blindness and Other Health Issues

Nexplanon is a rebranding of the female contraceptive Implanon, and manufactured by Merck & Co. The birth control device, about the size of a match is implanted under the skin of a woman's inner upper arm; where it slowly releases a synthetic hormone called etonogestrel; which prevents pregnancy over a period of up to 3 years. The device itself is made of a soft plastic composed of a chemical compound known as ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) or, (PEVA) short for poly ethylene-vinyl acetate. Nexplanon is touted as being one of the most effective forms of contraceptive available; claiming to be over 99% effective, and despite its chemical make up its been said to be eco-friendly.

Is Nexplanon Safe

If you are a fan of Monsters In My Cabinet then you have read some of my other articles on the topic of birth-control devices like the Essure and Depo-Provera; this device is no different. If you have, then you know by now that pharmaceutical corporations will tell you anything you want to hear to sell their product. Since Nexplanon/Implanon's FDA approval it has been the subject of several lawsuits with allegations from women who've suffered complications from the implant migrating from their arm and becoming lost in their body's unable to be recovered. Other allegations include blood clots, heart attacks, strokes and getting pregnant.

The device is also under investigation along with a few other birth-control brands for causing pseudo-tumor cerebri; a condition that causes too much cerebrospinal fluid to build up inside the skull. The excess fluid causes pressure on the brain leading to intracranial hypertension and tumor symptoms; which include severe migraines, blurred vision and permanent blindness. Another symptom of pseudo-tumor cerebri is tinnitus; a ringing in the ears associated with hearing loss.

According to eHealthMe, (a database for searching FDA adverse event reports) 14,139 women reported to have side effects when taking Nexplanon. Among them there were 696 unplanned pregancies, 3 reports of pseudo-tumor cerebri, 36 reports of blurred vision, 13 reports of blindness, and 4 reports of tinnitus. A quick browse through of the FDA's Adverse Event Reporting System will bring up a long list of adverse reaction reports from Nexplanon ranging from still births to alopecia and more. This maybe another reason why Implanon was rebranded as Nexplanon (besides it being radiopoque); to throw people off of their trail of adverse reaction reports, because when you combine the two the number of reports double. I'll include all of this data below.

Is Nexplanon Safe For The Environment

Nexplanon is not quite "eco-friendly" either. As I mentioned above Nexplanon is made of a soft plastic called poly ethylene-vinyl acetate (PEVA), or (EVA). In a study conducted by the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, the toxicity of the chemical was tested and proved to be just as toxic as PVC; another widely used plastic known to be hormone disrupting and carcinogenic.

The bottom-line is, hormones are the building blocks of human biology. They determine your physical and mental health. Nexplanon and Implanon are both synthetic hormonal contraceptives and when introduced into the human body, like all hormonal birth-control methods they will disrupt your natural hormonal balance affecting you physically, mentally, and emotionally. Combined with the chemically produced materials these devices are made of, the risks are doubled. Trading health for the ability to not get pregnant is like making a deal with the devil.

Don't Eat That Popcorn Until You've Read This

Popcorn is an all American traditional snack. Everyone loves the sound of popcorn popping away; anticipating its salty buttery savoriness, as its aroma fills the kitchen on movie night. That aroma teasing your nose may smell appetizing, but may not be so good for your health.

What you are smelling is a chemical called diacetyl; a artificial butter flavoring. Because of its distinctive buttery flavor and aroma, diacetyl is used in food production for snack foods, baking mixes, margarine and other vegetable oil-based cooking products. Diacetyl is an organic chemical compound that can occur naturally in small amounts in nature and during fermentation of alcohols, or traditional dairy products. So there's not a great risk of consuming it in that fashion. However, industrial production of diacetyl requires a number of chemical reactions to produce.

When diacetyl is heated it evaporates releasing harmful fumes into the air. According to a study by The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, factory workers in plants producing microwave popcorn developed obstructive lung disease or scar tissue on the lungs from inhaling the fumes of diacetyl over time. Use of butter flavored oil, sprays, and spreads in restaurant kitchens puts workers at risk of overexposure; comparable to factory workers.

Another recent 2016 study published in the Current Opinion in Pulmonary Medicine journal found biopsy-proven cases of bronchiolitis obliterans in heavy consumers of microwave popcorn. A condition causing fibrosis of lung tissue.

Some brands of microwave popcorn advertise on their labels that they don't use diacetyl. Though, that maybe true that still doesn't mean it's safe. That just means they're substituting diacetyl for another artificial butter flavor which is usually just as bad as diacetyl. Acetylpropionyl for example, is the common substitute for diacetyl; also known as 2,3-pentanedione. This chemical is also used in paint and pesticides, but conveniently has a buttery cheesy flavor.

According to the (NIOSH) , inhalation of acetylpropionyl causes respiratory tract damage and scarring of the lungs as well. It also has mutagenic effects on the brain.

Diacetyl and its substitute acetylpropionyl are not the only health risks in a bag of microwave popcorn. The next problem is the bag itself. Microwave popcorn bags are lined with a synthetic chemical compound called perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). This prevents oils from the popcorn from over saturating the bag and popcorn from sticking. When heated in the microwave this chemical leeches into your popcorn and also releases harmful fumes into the environment.

(PFOA) is a known carcinogen and hormone disrupting chemical. According to a 2012  study conducted at Emory University, (PFOA) is linked to tumors of the liver, pancreas, and testicles. People with higher exposure were found to be at higher risk of dying of mesothelioma, chronic kidney disease, and diabetes. Multiple other studies have linked (PFOA) to infertility and degradation of semen. Even ADHD in children and reduced puberty, or increased maturation in young girls.

Microwaved popcorn isn't the only problem either. Self-contained stove-top popping pan popcorn also uses artificial butter flavor. If you pop your kernels in a pot you're safe as long as you don't use the artificial liquid butter oil. You'll be defeating the purpose of not using the microwavable bag. One way to minimize the risk of inhaling harmful fumes is to use real butter or apply your butter substitute after the popcorn has finished to avoid as much heat as possible.

Remember just because it smells good doesn't mean it's good for you. A bottle of Fabuloso looks refreshing on a hot summer day, but you know what is. Knowledge is power. Thanks for reading and don't forget to share.

Why It's Not So Safe To Eat From Foam Plates

Styrofoam, is just a trademark name for the product polystyrene foam which has become a daily aspect of our lives. Plates, bowl, cups, spoons, forks, containers, and packaging are made from this product; and are used as everyday eating utensils. Families break out the foam and plastic for special occasions, or that day when no one feels like washing dishes or cooking. The busy on the go lifestyle consists of hot cups of coffee and tea; lunch packaged in foam trays with plastic forks or spoons which are also made from polystyrene.

Foam and plastic is just simply convenient for most, but convenience doesn't necessarily equate to safe. So, exactly how safe are eating utensils and packaging made from polystyrene for use in food consumption. Let's start from the production and manufacturing of polystyrene.

What Is Styrene?

The greatest ecological concern with polystyrene is the threat connected with styrene; a naturally occurring organic chemical compound essential to the manufacturing of the synthetic compound polystyrene. Styrene occurs naturally in small trace amounts in nature and can be found in tree saps, strawberries, coffee beans and other organic sources, but the styrene used to make polystyrene foam, synthetic rubber and plastic is produced in a factory using a number of different chemical reactions.

Employees who work closely with these chemicals are at constant potential risk of being exposed. According to the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) required by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) to be available to all employees working around potentially hazardous materials in the workplace, styrene is classified as a proven carcinogen. The substance is toxic to the nervous system, blood system, and upper respiratory tract causing acute bronchitis or emphysema. It can cause gastrointestinal issues, depression, migraines, lethargy, and affect kidney function. Loss of hearing and smell. It passes the placental barrier causing defects in prenatal and postnatal pregnancies, contaminates breast milk, and causes menstrual disorders. Studies have found it in men's semen causing defects in sperm. It's also a mutagenic with a category of 2, which means there's positive evidence that it may alter your DNA causing genetic mutations and hormonal imbalances that become hereditary.

The FDA Says It's Safe
Now that we have a clear understanding of how extremely hazardous the handling of the chemical [styrene] is in the manufacturing of the chemical [polystyrene] foam and plastics, it's important to note that the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approves polystyrene foam and plastics for use in food consumption. How can a synthetic chemical that causes so much of a health hazard being produced be approved for use in food consumption? Do a quick Google search and you'll find quite a bit of national regulators, researchers, and evaluators, saying the samething, "blah blah blah, the levels of styrene from polystyrene containers are hundreds if not thousands of times lower than they are in the warehouses where they are made...the average consumer exposure is far below the safety requirement... polystyrene is safe....blah blah blah”.

When it comes to health there is no level of exposure... they can keep their slick numbers...either it's safe or it isn't. They must think us American citizens are pretty dumb. So, polystyrene is safe, but it's made from styrene which isn't...yeah right. What do they have, some type of sensors in every citizen's household that can determine how much styrene everyone is exposed to?

Synthetic Styrene

Let's check out a MSDS for polystyrene. Looking under toxicological information on a few MSDS sheets of polystyrene products you won't find anything outside of skin, eye and respiratory irritation. The acute and chronic effects are usually unavailable, unknown or not classified. One MSDS I found for polystyrene foam though notes that no analysis has been done on the product individually, so any risk assessments must be calculated using the individual chemicals used in the creation of the product itself. This brings us right back to styrene and gives us a slew of other hazardous chemicals to evaluate. Pentane which has a few variations and hexabromocyclododecane both have similar wrap sheets to styrene. There's also the chemicals benzene, aldehyde, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons like toluene for example, which has been recognized to cause neurological disorders and brain damage in infants exposed during pregnancy. Most important to point out though, which all MSDS sheets can agree to is that polystyrene has a melting point at which heat applied to the product causes thermal decomposition and that it is reactive when it is exposed to amines, aldehydes, and oxidative chemical agents; which are basically acids. Now, what does of  all this mean? Let me explain.

What Is Thermal Decomposition?

Every chemical compound has a temperature for thermal decomposition. This is the temperature at which a chemical begins to decompose and the bonds which hold it together begin to separate. This usually gives you the original chemicals used to create a particular substance and possibly new chemical compounds. During decomposition lighter chemicals become their gas forms creating fumes and heavier chemicals become solids or liquids. Acids can cause a similar effect, when exposed to certain chemicals. Multiple chemical reactions can occur during decomposition.

We're Not Dumb At All!

Now let's apply some common sense. I'm pretty sure everyone that has read this far has experienced placing some hot food on foam plates and trays. I've done it plenty of times but frozen pizza and barbecued chicken stick out in my memory banks. Foam plates almost always have scalding, imprints, and melting scars where the hot food was. Almost all of my older tupperware containers and plastic bowls have uncleanable tomato sauce stains from reheating spaghetti in the microwave, because tomato sauce is acidic and high in amines and the heated oils form aldehydes eating into the plastic. This is decomposition. If you have witnessed this congratulations, because you have successfully conducted a scientific experiment; thermally decomposing polystyrene in your kitchen releasing all of those harmful chemicals into the atmosphere of your home and absorbing them into your food.Your kitchen has become the warehouse equivalent of where polystyrene is made and styrene and every other chemical used in its creation is present in your home, the only difference is your family doesn't have MSDS sheets laying around with instructions for proper handling.

Before You Eat Those: Frito-Lay Makes Corn Chips From Bacteria Hybrid Corn

Many of the foods we have today are made from transgenic organisms, but here we will focus on transgenic corn that's genetically modified to unnaturally produce its own pesticide and resistance to herbicide weed killers. These are called Bt and RoundUp Ready corn. Organic corn is typically hard to find at local grocery stores, because it's considered too costly and unprofitable to a large number of farmers. This means there's good chance that the majority of corn products we eat on a daily basis contain transgenic corn. Bt-corn is modified to produce its own strains of Bacillus thuringiensis, an insect repelling bacteria used in its modification.

RoundUp is the leading brand of weed killer for gardens and farms. It’s sprayed directly on weeds to kill them. RoundUp Ready corn is genetically engineered to be resistant to the herbicide glyphosate; the active ingredient in RoundUp that kills weeds. Unlike natural crops, Bt and RoundUp Ready crops produce pesticide and herbicide resistant enzymes in every cell of the plant itself and cannot be washed off. Both Bt and glyphosate have been found to accumulate in the body.

Due to a recent independent study Frito-Lay, a Texas-based company known for its different variety of chips, has been found to use Bt and RoundUp Ready corn in 100% of the corn that they use to make their SunChips product. Bt-corn has been linked to many health ailments, including signs of organ toxicity, lesions on internal organs  and reproductive damage in studies on mammals. In other studies, the broken down proteins from the Bt-corn have been found in the blood and urine of not only pregnant women, but non-pregnant women as well. It's been found still lingering on the skin and nasal passages of farm workers months later causing allergic reactions. It also causes the body to overproduce antibodies, which can damage the immune system.

Many adverse side-effects are associated with RoundUp Ready crops. When eaten the high levels of glyphosate are absorbed in the body. Glyphosate has been linked to hormonal imbalances specifically affecting the sex hormones causing tumors, kidney disease, birth defects and reproductive problems. In one study the breastmilk of 3 in 10 women tested was contaminated with levels of glyphosate so high it exceeded the level the European Drinking Water Directive allows for individual pesticides. Studies have also shown sterilization in males.

These poor rats were fed  RoundUp Ready Corn in a 90-day feeding study by Monsanto. The health effects of a Roundup-tolerant genetically modified corn, cultivated with or without Roundup application and RoundUp alone in drinking water, were evaluated for 2 years in rats.

PepsiCo is the parent company to Frito Lay, spent a little more than thirteen million dollars, to lobby against GMO labeling on food. Not only did they know the dangers of GMO, they tried to suppress the labels so that consumers would not be aware of the poisons they were putting into their bodies when they ate their products. Many of these foods are marketed towards children, knowing that their products can be harmful and possibly life-threatening down the road.

SunChips are marketed as healthy, labeled as “100% Whole Grain”. Many products boast whole grain and consumers buy them thinking they are making health choices when it comes to their food. What SunChips fails to mention when they say “100% Whole Grain” is “100% GMO Grain”, because that’s what it is.

8 Tips To Improve Hormonal Imbalance Naturally

Hormones are chemical relays that affect every aspect of your mental and physical health. Some of the most common side effects associated with hormonal imbalances are infertility, weight gain, depression, fatigue, insomnia, decreased sex drive, and androgenic hair loss. Here we will discuss a blueprint to restore the balance in your temple.

Get Plenty of Exercise

A hormonal imbalance can leave you feeling depressed, stressed, and lacking in energy to go about your day. Regular exercise releases endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine; your bodies version of morphine. These chemicals induce feelings of reward, gratification, and boost your self-esteem. Exercise also balances your bodies estrogen levels. Estrogen is responsible for not only emotional and reproductive health, but also determines if sugar and carbohydrates are used as energy or stored as body fat.

Detox Your Kitchen

Detox

Get rid of plastic and Styrofoam dinnerware. This includes plastic and foam plates, bowls, bottles, forks…etc. They are made using polymers; hormone disrupting chemicals that leech into your food. Only eat and drink from porcelain, glass, wood, and traditional metals like stainless steel. Read my article Why It's Not So Safe To Eat From Foam Plates to learn more about polymers and how they affect your health.

Discontinue Hormone Based Medications

Avoid hormonal birth-control methods which are made from synthetic hormones; or non-hormonal methods manufactured from hormone disrupting chemicals like the Essure , and topical creams made from hydrocortisone and other synthetic hormones.

Hormonal birth-controls are synthetic versions of progesterone and estrogen hormones. The hormones are directly related to sexual dimorphism. Estrogen is produced in the brain of both men and women, but in women it's also produced in the ovaries. Progesterone also is very essential to the brain. This makes a clear connection between a woman's mental health and her reproductive health. Estrogen and progesterone determine how you think, feel, and crave sexual relations, which is necessary for the basic human instinct to reproduce; no matter if you want to reproduce or not. The human body does not recognize casual sex. Since hormonal birth-control methods block the woman's ability to reproduce, this causes a domino effect. This is why many women who use hormonal birth-control methods experience emotional instability and decreased libido; because it takes away the very thing that makes her a woman. Estrogen and progesterone imbalances have been linked to breast cancer, uterine fibroid, infertility, and many other illnesses.

Hydrocortisone is a common topical skin cream used for rashes and other skin conditions. It's also a synthetic hormone, mimicking cortisol; a corticosteroid produced in the adrenal gland. An imbalance in cortisol has been linked to weak immunity, decreasing the rate at which the body heals wounds. Lower metabolism of carbohydrates and blood sugars which leads to obesity and diabetes. Sodium retention and excess potassium excretion, which leads to high blood pressure. Anxiety, depression, osteoporosis, acne, and Cushing Syndrome.

Stay Away From Processed Foods

Processed food and beverages made from refined sugars like soda are mostly manufactured using GMO’s. Genetically modified plants are modified to withstand high concentrations of herbicide without dying. These plants accumulate high amounts of hormone disrupting chemicals along with other chemicals used in the manufacturing process like food dyes, artificial flavors, and other additives. Refined sugar and grains made with both brominated vegetable oil and aspartame have been associated with infertility, impotence, and a decreased sexual appetite. Products made from GMO corn, like chips have been found to cause kidney disease.

Eat More Healthy Fats

Fruit

Eating foods high in healthy fat acids is essential to keeping hormones balanced.  Avocados for one, are rich in these fats key to hormone production. Avocados contain sterols that can act as estrogen inhibitors. This makes the avocado a war tool in fighting hormonal imbalance in a world where everything from foods and beverages, to medications and pollution are constantly affecting our hormones. Avocados also boost metabolism promoting weight loss. Other foods rich in healthy fats are walnuts, blueberries, honeydew melon, and spinach. These are good sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are the precursors of hormone production and play a serious role in the bodies immune system.

Stop Peeling

The skin on your fruit and vegetables are the most healthiest and natural forms of fiber you can get. Fibers from refined oats and grains inflame the digestive tract causing leaky gut syndrome, a hormonal issue targeting the thyroid. Symptoms include fatigue, bloating, anxiety, eczema, and diabetes. Make sure your fruits and veggies are organic to avoid pesticides.

Get Adequate Sunlight

Sunlight is essential for the body’s production of vitamin D. Though, we’ve been taught in grade school that Vitamin D is a Vitamin and found in foods; vitamin D is actually a hormone itself and is created naturally when the skin absorbs sunlight. Some hormonal imbalances can be avoided by preventing vitamin D deficiency. A few minutes a day of sun exposure between 10am and 2pm is enough to promote vitamin D synthesis. People who live in climates that get poor sun exposure should use supplements.

Sleep

Last but, not least, sleep is as powerful a tool in maintaining a health hormone balance as exercise. Lack of sleep has been linked to increased cortisol levels causing diabetes, cognitive delay, low immunity, cardiovascular disease, increased appetite and decreased metabolism which leads to  obesity. Get some rest.

Cute Puppy

That’s it for now and I will be keeping this post updated with more details. Apply all these tips together and I guarantee you will feel and look your best. All it takes is the will to try and patience.

The Depo Shot Is Transforming The Bodies Of Women Around The World

Depot medroxyprogesterone acetate, better known as Depo-Provera, but known to many women as "the depo-shot", is a synthetic version of the natural sex hormone progesterone. Though, millions of women around the world use the depo shot as a form of birth control, many are oblivious of the dangers associated with the contraceptive.

Progesterone doesn't only play an important role in the regulation of the female menstrual cycle; progesterone is crucial to the bodies balance of natural steroids like the sex hormones estrogen and testosterone. It also keeps other steroids in check; like corticosteroids, and plays an important role in brain function as a neurosteroid.

None of the scientific terms above may sound scary at a glance, but hopefully after reading this article you will have a better understanding of how putting synthetic hormones into the human body can cause serious chemical and hormonal imbalances.

Testosterone and Estrogen

Let's start with the sex hormones. Since the progesterone administered in the depo shot is a synthetic hormone designed to mimic the natural hormone, it could cause an imbalance in other sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone. Excessive estrogen hormones in women cause a risk of abnormally over-sized breast, premenstrual syndrome, obesity, postmenopausal syndrome, uterine fibroid, breast cysts, endometriosis, and breast cancer which is the most prominent diagnosed cancer among women of African descent.

Testosterone is a member of the masculine class of sex hormones called androgen's. In excess, androgens can cause physiological changes in women. Like infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, enlargement of the clitoris, deepening voice, androgenic alopecia, and breast atrophy. Masculine muscle gain is another risk and if left untreated, can lead to increased risks of heart disease.

How To Improve Hormonal Imbalance Naturally In 8 Simple Steps

Corticosteroids

Corticosteroids control a wide range of physiological processes, like stress, immunity, inflammation, metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins, blood sugar levels, and behavior. An imbalance in this hormone could be very sever. Anxiety, depression, fluid retention, hypertension, osteoporosis, acne, weak immune system, excessive yeast infections, diabetes (which is predominate among blacks), and Cushing Syndrome.

Cushing Syndrome is a very important side effect to mention; being as though a great number of the women who continuously use the depo shot show one or more of its symptoms. Excessive weight gain in torso area. Growth of fat pads along the collarbone, the back of the neck and on the face. Fluid retention of the ankles (cankles) and wrists. Thinning and loss of head hair and abnormal facial hair growth. Dark or red discoloration of stretch-marks on neck and other areas. This one condition has so many categories and subcategories I don't have enough time or space to name them all.

Neurosteroids

Neurosteroids like progesterone are associated with the brain's memory process, behavior, and epileptic vulnerability, it regulates a person’s response to stress, anxiety, and depression. Neurosteroids also play a key role in various sexually-dimorphic behaviors and emotional responses. Simply put, an imbalance in this hormone can have serious effects on a woman's mental health; cause insomnia, impaired memory, and loss of sexual appetite. Including not being sexually attracted to men at all. Being as though the hormones are sexually based themselves this shouldn't come to a surprise.

If a woman becomes pregnant shortly after coming off Depo-Provera or if while using the contraception (which has been reported happening by the way), the fetus male or female has a doubled risk of being born hermaphrodite according to the warnings label from Pharmacia and Upjohn Company.

Did You Know?

In 2005 citizens of Canada filed a $700 million class-action lawsuit against Pfizer a manufacturer of Depo-Provera. The women suing alleged they developed osteoporosis using the contraceptive.

In the U.S Depo-Provera was repeatedly denied for use by the FDA. Though it had been in use since 1969 it wasn’t until 1992 that the FDA approved it for use in the U.S.  Cervical cancer was found to be increased as high as 9-times in the first human studies recorded by the manufacturer and the National Cancer Institute.

The Point

Women have a right to know the the full extent of the risks they're taking when using a medication. Not just the surface symptoms that are given on warning labels, but the truth about what's actually happening on a molecular level inside their bodies that causes these symptoms.

Though, this article was centered around Depo, it is important to note that serious precaution should be taken before dealing with any contraceptive or medication that involves synthetic hormones; or that is made from hormone disrupting chemicals. They can alter the balance of natural hormones in the body. This is also discussed in the Essure article. The pill for example, is made from synthetic estrogen's or progesterone as well; potentially risking the same effects listed above. Hopefully, this article is enough to encourage women to protect their temples more devotedly, especially if they decide to have children in the future without complications. Though, the depo-shot has to be repeated every 3 months, the synthetic hormones may still be present along with any hormonal imbalances it caused and can be harmful to the fetus.

Essure Birth Control Maybe Linked To Diabetes, Depression, and Other Hormonal Side Effects

Essure, a product of Bayer HealthCare, is a non-surgical form of permanent birth control for women seeking sterility. The non-surgical procedure involves two flexible non-hormonal metal and polyester springs being inserted through the vagina and uterus. The springs are then inserted into both fallopian tubes. Within a few months the springs induce fibrosis and tissue cells begin to form completely covering them, inhibiting fertilization.

Essure was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2002. However, a series of recent lawsuits are attacking that approval with allegations that Essure may have been approved before its risks had adequately been investigated; and that Bayer failed to meet certain FDA guidelines requiring it to report annually on the women who received Essure implants as part of its clinical pre-trials.

Since its approval, more than 5,000 complaints have been filed with the FDA regarding adverse effects to the contraceptive; as well as 12 deaths reported by Bayer and 303 fetal deaths reported in the FDA's adverse event reporting database from women who conceived while using the birth control.

The litigation claims and adverse event reports of women who were implanted with the Essure include hysterectomies, bloating, rashes, allergic reactions, excessive bleeding, organ perforation, pelvic pain, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and many side effects that were not included on the products label. Many of these women allege they were never informed about these side effects.

Despite the hundreds of women reporting to the FDA's adverse event database with symptoms like brain fog, anxiety, prolonged menstrual cycle, lethargy, depression, weight gain, hair loss and even induced diabetes; the FDA does not recognize these symptoms as being in connection to Essure because, they were not observed in post-approval studies, or described in the clinical literature. This does not mean the connection doesn't exist and the hundreds of women complaining about the same symptoms are not coincidence.

Woman familiar with hormonal birth control methods may know that certain symptoms can be expected, like depression, hair loss, and weight fluctuations. Though, Essure is marketed as a non-hormonal contraceptive many women are experiencing side effects common to hormonal contraceptives. This may be due to the material the Essure is made out of.

The Essure's coil consists of polyethylene terephthalate fibers wound around a flexible stainless steel inner coil and are surrounded by a outer nickel titanium alloy coil. Though, the stainless steel and nickel titanium metals may cause allergic reactions, we will focus on polyethylene terephthalate.

Polyethylene Terephthalate, commonly known as PETE or PET among the science and manufacturing industry is the most common plastic polymer in the polyester family and is widely used in manufacturing of clothing and containers for food and beverages.
There has been much controversy in recent years surrounding the use of PETE for food packaging and beverage containers, due to multiple studies providing evidence that common use of PETE leaches endocrine disrupting chemicals into food and beverages contained in it. One of those studies was conducted by the Montgomery Center for Research in Child and Adolescent Development in 2010.

Endocrine disrupting chemicals are substances that induce hormonal imbalances that may cause obesity, diabetes, hormone-sensitive cancers, thyroid cancer, uterine fibroid, endometriosis, lower sex drive, androgenic hair loss and neurological illnesses like depression, attention deficit disorders, cognitive and brain development problems.

When PETE is exposed to heat for prolonged periods of time it begins to thermally decompose; other present conditions like acidity or alkalinity may increase that degradation, releasing other byproducts used in the manufacturing process. These chemicals include but, not limited to acetaldehyde, antimony, and phthalates. All of which are known to be endocrine disrupting chemicals.

If a plastic bottle of water can exceed the government regulated PETE consumption from being left in a hot car; imagine how the internal temperature of your body accompanied by your bodily fluids (which have their own pH) can trigger a thermal decomposition of the PETE fibers used in the Essure device. Over the period of months this would release a continuous cocktail of endocrine disrupting chemicals into the bloodstream.

Though, the Essure is marketed as a non-hormonal contraceptive, it's manufactured using hormonally active agents. This may explain why many women are reporting side effects that are similar to hormonal contraceptives.

The FDA has been investigating many of these claims and is set to release its update on whether Essure should be recalled at the end this month.

MMR Vaccine Threatens Kids With Autism

MMR Vaccine Threatens Kids With Autism

Senior epidemiologist at the CDC, Dr. William Thompson, released thousands of pages of CDC documents of research data to Congress this past summer of 2014. Dr. Thompson admitted to falsifying data from a 2004 CDC report that was published in the journal Pediatrics. The report not only alleged that links between the MMR vaccines and autism did not exist, but also that there weren't any racial risk factors.

Dr. Thompson disclosed that he along with other CDC scientists deliberately excluded Black children from the study, and altered data in order to negate any links between vaccines and autism. He declares, the initial report found that giving children the vaccine before the age of 36 months increased the risk of autism by 69%; but in Black children the risk of autism triples to a scary 240%

In  a August, 2014 interview Dr. Thompson states,
It’s the lowest point of my career that I went along with that [2004] paper. We did not report significant findings. I am completely ashamed of what I did. I have great shame now that I was complicit…I went along with this. I have great shame now, when I meet families with autism because I have been part of the problem. The higher-ups wanted to do certain things, and I went along with it.”

Although, the Obama administration has granted Dr. Thompson whistle blower status; granting him immunity earlier this year, a hearing has not yet been set. Congressman Jason Chaffetz says "The CDC will not let him speak out without a subpoena".

This is not the first time the CDC has experimented with a measles vaccine. In 1990 the CDC experimented on close to 1, 500 black and Hispanic infants in Los Angeles, using a measles vaccine not approved by the FDA. The CDC did not inform the parents, deliberately breaking laws of disclosure and informed consent. The drug was a high potency test vaccine designed to replace the baby’s maternal immune system with vaccine induced antibodies. The CDC continued its experimentation until 1991 when trials conducted in Africa and Haiti showed increased death rate and severe immune system disorder among female infants who received the vaccine.  Those children died 6 months to 2 years after vaccination.

Induced Homosexuality

Gian Paolo Vanoli, a 70-year-old Italian scientist, journalist, and proponent of alternative medicine says that vaccines make people gay.

Via a Huffington Post translation of the Vice interview:

"The vaccine is introduced into the child, the child then grows and tries to find its own personality, and if this is inhibited by mercury or other substances present in the vaccine which enter the brain, the child becomes gay. The problem will especially be present in the next generations, because when gays have children, the children will carry along with them the DNA of their parent’s illness. Because homosexuality is a disease, even though the WHO has decided that it is not. Who cares! The reality is that it is so. Each vaccination produces homosexuality, because it prevents the formation of one’s personality. It is a microform of autism, if you will. You will see how many gays there will be in the next generation, it will be a disaster."

This shouldn't come as a surprise. Sex hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and androgen's literally determine sexual orientation, gender, and reproduction. In 2014, Dr. Diana Fleischman, an evolutionary psychologist at the University of Portsmouth in England published a study of 244 men and women; finding that the hormone progesterone was linked to homoerotic behavior and both sexes. It has been shown that hormonal imbalances can be induced by many sources, but most definitely by synthetic hormones and hormonally active chemicals that disrupt the endocrine system.

The Point

Vaccinations have been linked to neurological illnesses, sterility; and according to recent findings, cause hormonal imbalances that affect sexuality inducing homosexual behavior. Some side-effects of vaccines have been found be mutagenic, meaning they can be passed along to offspring.

If you've had enough of letting your state play rushing roulette with your child's health, but can't take your child out of public school, there are ways of opting out of immunizations. The website below is very helpful.
